Adoption Update for Rachel

We are so excited for Rachel's adoption to be moving along.  We have our first adoption planning meeting scheduled for Feb. 10th.  This is the first step for us to begin the process.  The biggest hurdle is having parental rights terminated, once this is done it is just a matter of getting paper work in order.  So parental rights are scheduled to be terminated on April 1st, no joke :)  We can't wait!

Finally an Update

I can't believe it is February, where has the time gone? I thought after Rachel started crawling life would get easier and I would be able to get back on top of things. In reality they are physically easier, I no longer carry her everywhere, but they are busier, now I have to watch her like a hawk.

Here is a quick update of the last few months:

1) We started Brian's paternity leave with a trip down to Loreto Bay, Mexico. Luna loved the pool but not the beach. Rachel enjoyed the pool once it heated up. Mom and Dad just enjoyed the sun and "semi" relaxing (can you ever really relax with a one year old and a 8 month old?). We celebrated Thanksgiving down there with Brian's family. It was a wonderful two weeks

2) Luna turned 2! We can't believe she is 2! We celebrated with a Pooh themed party. She got a play kitchen and has been cooking ever since.

3) Christmas morning was spent at our house. Gramma came up from California and Uncle Jason joined us as well. We all had a great time opening gifts with the girls.

4) We went over to Port Townsend for a few days for a visit with Pops and Nana. We just relaxed and hung out.

5) New Years was celebrate out at Ocean Shores. We were only there for two nights, we hung out with my family and played games.

6) January was full of many colds and sicknesses, we spent most of the month just trying to get healthy. It was a rough month, the girls were not sleeping well and not happy, just glad it is behind us. I used the time at home to potty train Luna :)
